Program and Communications Coordinator

Summary:

Brew House Association (BHA) is a non-profit organization established in 1993 to provide a supportive environment for artists to live and work. Its mission is to provide creative space and support for people to connect and expand their relationship with the arts. BHA is seeking a part-time Program and Communications Coordinator that will report to the Program Director to advance the organization’s programmatic and marketing efforts. The hourly employee will be expected to work 15-20 hours per week, weekend and evening hours are required.

Job Responsibilities:

PROGRAMMATIC

  • Facilitate the implementation of the Distillery Artists-in-Residence Program
    • Coordinate program calendar for Distillery
    • Organize and attend Distillery professional development sessions
    • Manage communication for program participants & mentors
  • Oversee cleanliness of studio facilities
  • Work with BH Lofts Residents to produce collaborative programming and provide opportunities for residents to engage with BHA
  • Support with exhibition openings and special events
  • Staff gallery hours, greet visitors, and answer questions with a customer focus

    MARKETING & COMMUNICATIONS

  • Create and publish content for BHA’s website and improve SEO
  • Create and publish content using BHA’s various social media platforms
  • Create and publish content for BHA’s newsletter
  • Design digital and printed promotional materials
  • Write and distribute Press Releases for in-house events and exhibitions
  • Assist in distribution and organization of calls for artists
  • Assist in design & implementation of audience tracking system for data collection
  • Assist with development of Individual Giving efforts, correspondence, and campaign materials
  • Author and coordinate marketing material for exhibitions, fundraising, and other purposes
  • Work with Imagebox to manage BHA website as needed

    OTHER

  • Attend meetings with BHA’s Board of Directors & Program/Marketing Committee to address and implement high level marketing strategies
  • Act as a representative of BHA and its values (collaboration, mentorship, creative risk-taking, and social awareness)
  • Additional job-related duties as instructed

Education & Experience

  • 1-2 years of experience in an administrative position preferably at a nonprofit arts organization
  • Demonstrated competency in Gsuite google applications and Microsoft Office products including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
  • Demonstrated competency with Adobe Creative Suite products including InDesign, Illustrator, and Photoshop
  • Demonstrated competency with Mail Chimp, WordPress, and social media platforms
  • Experience successfully overseeing program budgets
  • Undergraduate degree preferred

Compensation

$16 – $19 / hour commensurate with experience
